Our Story

Drawing inspiration from the speed and precision of a hummingbird, Suger Custom Builders in Whistler is a family-owned and operated business founded by Christopher Massuger.

Chris Massuger, founder of Suger Custom Builders, holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Construction Management and Architecture from Royal Melbourne University in Melbourne, Australia. His career began with Tier 1 construction companies delivering large scale luxury developments across Australia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi before he found his niche in Whistler’s custom home market.

Chris combines architectural understanding with meticulous planning and project management, bridging the gap between design and construction. Using detailed estimation, 3D/BIM modelling and comprehensive planning, he translates complex designs into clear, actionable scopes for trades—identifying risks early and setting projects up for success.

For Chris, exceptional construction is equal parts craftsmanship and financial discipline. His transparent, detail-driven approach brings foresight, clarity and precision to every home he creates.

For Chris, he insists that construction is equal parts craftsmanship and financial mastery.
